We went to St. George this weekend to our friends Ashley and Nelli's wedding. It was such a beautiful ceremony and day. They are going to be so happy!

Dave and the boys
Us girls
We were able to go to dinner with Kassi and Jason in St. George. It was so good to see them!!
We then went to Vegas Saturday night. Dave has been there a few times but hates Vegas. This is a problem because I LOVE Vegas! I decided to take him to Vegas and make him like it. :) We went to the Bellagio first. I love the flower displays they have.
Us at the Bellagio

Yes, we did gamble some. No, we didn't win anything..:(

Us on the strip
Dave has never seen the fountain show. This is us waiting for the show to start...right when it was supposed to they announced that the wind was too strong and they would not be able to do the show. I was disappointed. We got in the car and then the show started. Dave was able to see some of it when we stopped at a red light.
Dave now doesn't hate Vegas!!!!! He had never been in all the different hotels to see what cool things they have to offer. I love that each hotel is so unique. I think that he will go back with me again, YAY!!:)

Family Christmas Party

So my parents had our family Christmas party this past Sunday since Dave and I will be gone for Christmas. We had a really fun time. Since we have been little we visit sister Sevy and brother and sister White every Christmas, so we kept up this tradition this year. It was fun to have Dave meet them I just think the world of. We had such a fun time visiting with them. We also bought roast beef from the Idle Isle (my favorite) for sandwiches. We played the candy bar game!! Last but not least we made ginger bread houses as couples. For those of you who know Dave know that he likes to be different.....he likes to make life interesting. His..our ginger bread house was of the projects in the ghetto! He had so many details (air conditioner coming out of the window, graffiti on the side of the building that was mis spelled, basketball court that was broken, tires for the kids to play on, broken power lines, dead Santa on the roof, ect) it was unbelievable :) My mom got a little scared and now doesn't want me to move out of Utah even more!! Dave suprised my mom by leaving his finished project on her dresser in her bedroom. My mom came up to Logan a few days later and put the ginger bread house in our backyard. We were going to wrap it and give it to my mom for Christmas but we left it outside this weekend and it died....so sad

Our beautiful ginger bread house.
Mckell, Jake, Mindy, Nate, Dave, and I. Doesn't Mckell look so good and cute.

Last night Dave and I went to Five Guys hamburgers!!:) We then met up with my best friend Ina and Trent to look at the lights. It was sooo packed but we had a good time. It was fun to see Ina. She lives in Bountiful and has been studying for her CPA exams so she has been so busy the past year. She has always been such a great friend. We have had many adventures and lots of fun memories. It is sometimes sad to have to grow up...I am not sure I like it much.

Dave and I, so cute.

Trent, Ina, Me, Dave.
Trent, Ina, and I were all good friends. I went and nannied one summer and they hooked up. I was shocked cause Trent was just one of our best friends. But they are so good for each other and it is fun to be such good friends with both of them.

My sister Mckell is having her baby boy Jerrett the first of February. Since I am going to be all over the place the next month and Mindy is getting married in January we decided to have her baby shower right after Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun to see a lot of people I have not seen in awhile. She got a lot of cute stuff, it was a fun day.
This picture is of Mckell, Aunt Colleen, me, and my mom.

Dave and I got a chocolate fondue fountain and tried it out a few weeks ago. We had some of my friends from high school and the ward come on Monday night and then his friends come on Tuesday night. We had steak and chicken fondue, and the chocolate fountain. It was a lot of fun. I have never tried chicken in the fondue so Tif made it, it was a big hit.
This pic is of Danny, Candace, Marinea (still do not know how to spell) and Adam, Dave and I, and Nelli and Ashley.

We have had a fun few weeks. We spend Thanksgiving at my parents in Perry since we will be gone for Christmas. We also went to the Forgotten Carols!! I love it. Dave has been a good sport lately he went with me to Twilight and the Forgotten Carols, I will owe him big I am sure.
I am done with school this semester and it feels wonderful. I did my practicum in a kindergarten classroom. I was not too excited about it at first because I am not an early childhood major. I ended up LOVING it. The kids were so fun and the teacher was so helpful. It turned out to be a really great experience. I also am SOOOO happy to be done with classes in the elementary education department. I have not been impressed with the elementary education program. I sure loved the special education program though. I learned so much and enjoyed it even though it was hard.
Dave has 4 finals this week, not too fun. In one of his classes they had to come up with a project that gave service to the community. The project that the teacher liked best got out of the final. Dave's groups was the best and he is sooo happy to not take that final. I was so proud of him. They built wheelchair ramps at home in the community. I went with him and ended up explaining to him how to use most of the tools, I was proud of myself!:) He was amazed at how smart I was!

Happy Halloween!!

True Aggie night!

So these are a little out of order but I still am not sure how to change them. We can finally post pictures from our Halloween parties. Tif and Kelvin had a Halloween party last Friday but we had to wait to post pictures until our party on Halloween so nobody knew what our costumes were. We had a blast at Tif and Kelvin's party. We played games, carved pumpkins, ate lots of yummy food, and let Tif talk us into going bowling in our costumes!! It was a VERY fun night. Dave enjoyed himself a lot, he enjoys being weird in public :) This year I think is the most modest he has been on Halloween for years.
After bowling we ran up to campus to become true aggies. You kiss on the A at midnight. We went in our costumes! Everyone else was dressed normally or in their homecoming dresses. Amanda and I were out of our comfort zones but it was still fun. I think Dave found his new friend. Cody and Dave are TOO much alike!!!!!When Dave and I were kissing on the A somebody yelled, "What is a bear doing kissing a banana?" Can you believe that? I think I look like a monkey...

Us bowling!
Dave, me, Amanda, Cody, Kelvin, Tif, and Aspen

Carving pumpkins

Us! Aren't we so cute!!
On Halloween we went to a party and Adam's house. It was a lot of fun. We also ate lots of food and then played Scene It 2. I get so nervous playing thinking games..my brain does not work that fast. Luckily it was a team game.

The girls
Jade, me, Kim, Marinea, Ashley, Candace, and Leslie

The boys
Chris, Russ, Dave, Nelli, Johnny, Adam, and Danny

The gang.
It was crazy because we had two couples dress up as Marilyn Monroe and JFK and then 2 boys dressed up as the guy on semi-pro. What is the odds of that.
Exciting News though!!! We won for best costume!!:) We got a $20.00 gift card to Chili's :)

Happy Birthday Davey!

We celebrated a lot of Dave's birthday last weekend. I got him tickets to the dashboard concert last Thursday. It was a really good concert, they are such a talented band (At the bottom of this post is some video from the concert. They are not the best but we tried our best.) We went to Five Guys hamburgers before the concert!!! It is sooo yummy. We stayed at our April and Josh Stuarts house that night. It was so much fun. We went to Five Guys again with them on Friday for lunch! Just so you all know where to find Five Guys I will provide you the info. :)

Last weekend we also spent time in Provo. We went to Tacano's Brazilian Grill for dinner Friday night with April and Josh. That is an amazing restaurant. Afterwards we went to comedysportz with Amber, Brad, Jenna, Matt, Danny, his date:). It was a lot of fun. I forgot to take pictures....I dunno why I do that.
Saturday we bought our Halloween costumes, went shopping, and went to the APX party. The APX party was pretty lame. Probably because we didn't win anything :( Sad sad night.

Last night my parents came up for dinner. Dave and I made Roladan (it is a German dish). It was fun to have them come over and dinner was delicious.

Tonight we went to Le Nonne's in Logan. It is a really good Italian restaurant. You are probably able to see that I love food. If you ever need to know good places to eat give me a call. Dave has such good friends. It has been fun because their wives and girlfriends have become my good friends as well. In the picture is Dave, me, Candace, Danny, Lucky, Ashley, Nelli, Adam, and Marinea. Sorry if I spelt any of your names wrong.. Ashley and Nelli just got engaged and we are so excited for them. We had a really good time visiting with each other. Some of they guys are pretty crazy.

Le Nonne let me bring in the cake. It was fun to celebrate his birthday there. I wish I would have been looking at the camera, I look weird.

Dave you are a great husband. Thanks for all you do, I love you very much.

The past few weekend

Dave and I went to his mission reunion in Provo last weekend. It was a lot of fun. I wish I would have taken my camera, I am not sure what I was thinking! His mission president was Elder Perry's son. It was good to meet him and meet companions Dave has told me about. After the reunion we stayed the night with our friends Amber and Brad. It was soooo good to see them, it has been so long. They have been such great friends to us and we have missed them.
We went to both sessions of General Conference on Saturday, it was really neat. There were a lot of things I needed to hear. Danny, Dave's brother, and his friend drove down to Salt Lake with us. It was good to see Danny. We also visited Dave's grandparents who are on a mission in Salt Lake.
Sunday, we spent watching conference with my family. Grams always makes dinner on Sunday so it was fun to visit with my relatives.

This past weekend Dave has been in Chicago for his friends wedding. Dave was a groomsman. Weddings outside of Utah are a lot bigger deal. His friend has been planning this wedding for two years!!!! They all thought Dave and I were crazy to only be engaged for 6 weeks! Our wedding was very simple though. I wish I could have gone with him but we will be in Chicago for Christmas.
Our friends Amber and Brady were married this weekend. I went to the reception and was able to visit with our friends Leslie, Chris, Josh, and April. I was soooo happy! It was so good to see them. We are getting together this coming weekend and I am very excited.

Rodeo

So I know some of you are dying to know how Dave did at the rodeo the other day. Well, I am happy to say he did pretty darn good. His friend was competing in the rodeo for UVU. It was not as exciting as it would have been if it was not a college rodeo but it was still fun. We went with our friends Danny and Candace. This rodeo had a lot of events I had never seen because they have to adapt all the events for the girls. Some of the events embarrassed me because the girls did the wimpiest events. Oh well life goes on. I made Dave promise he will go to another rodeo with me next summer.

After his friend competed he let Dave ride his horse. I made Dave promise that he would not do anything stupid on the horse. He promised and later told me he wished he had not. He said he had the best idea he thought of while riding the horse. He said he wanted to take the horse into the boys bathroom. He said, "Wouldn't it be so cool to be going the bathroom and then have a horse walk in?" I am so glad I made him promise!!! He did a lot better on the horse than I did....

Family Fun

My cousins Alexis, Ian, Whit, and Grayson and I roasted marshmellows in my parents backyard a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun. We did not have a lot of wood so it was kind of a sad fire but still so much fun.

My cousin Kristy had a beautiful baby names Scarlet. This is her baby shower. It was held at my cousin Brooke's house. She has decorated her house sooo cute. It was fun to all get together. I love getting together with my family!

My cousin Kaitlin got married in August. Here are a few fun pictures

My wonderful husband!

So lately I have been pretty down. I have no energy and am very stressed. School is very stressful and very demanding with my time. I am too young to have no energy and to constantly be so tired. Dave has been so patient with me. I am so thankful he is because I am not so fun to be around when I am feeling this way.
So I was planning on making Swiss steak for dinner tonight. I was going to start it this morning and put it in the crock pot all day but I didn't get out of bed early enough this morning (getting out of bed in the morning is not one of my strong points). As we were driving home from work I was telling him what I was planning on making for dinner. The whole time I was feeling like I had so much to get done tonight and didn't really feel like cooking. I walked in the door and could smell onion, I didn't think much of it but walked into the kitchen and saw a wonderful surprise. Dave came home in between his classes and put the Swiss steak in the crock pot!! I was so happy and relieved. It was honestly better than when i make it. He is so wonderful! During his break he even went to the store and got the things I was needed to get after school. I have a wonderful husband and love him very much. Thank you so much Dave!!:)

I took my last test of my college career on Wednesday! I am very excited! I cannot believe I am almost done with my classes. October 27th to Thanksgiving break I will be in an elementary school for my practicum. After that I have student teaching and I AM DONE!!! Wahoo I feel good about life today! :)
Tonight I am taking Dave to his first rodeo. I love rodeos! I wonder what Dave's dad will think about Dave going to a rodeo!! :)

Update

I decided it was time to update my blog. Thanks to all who wrote such kind comments on my last post. It was a very hard time for me and I really appreciate everyones support. I talked to Dana yesterday and the family is doing the best they can. They have had a lot of support from their community and that has helped them alot.

Dave and I are back in Logan going to school. We moved into a condo September 1st and have finally unloaded all of our boxes. I am amazed at how much stuff we have!! We now need to decorate our place. School is keeping us VERY busy so I have not thought to much about decorating.

I graduate in the spring in elementary and special education. Dave has a few more years left and will be graduating in Journalism. I completed the special education classes last year and now have this semester to finish up my elementary education classes. In the spring I student teach and then I am done! I have four good friends from the special education program now in my elementary education program this semester. I am so glad to have them in my classes. The elementary education program is not what I thought it would be. I am very disappointed with how it is going but it will all be in the past soon enough.

Dave went to his first demolition derby! He really enjoyed it. We had a really good time and were able to visit with some of our friends. This derby had trucks, I have never seen a derby with trucks! It was a little scary because 2 trucks rolled and one started on fire. Dave loved the scary parts best.

These are Dave's children. He loves to feed the ducks. There were three ducks that used to come to our house around 6:00 every night. This particular night Dave was waiting for them and they never came so he went to the pond. He came back to the back door and told me to come and look at what he found. I could not stop laughing. He was in heaven!

My mom and I were able to go to the DC temple after the funeral.

This is my favorite hamburger place EVER!! Tyler and Alex introduced it to me the first summer I was in Virginia. Luckily I found one in Florida this summer! I hear that Salt Lake will be getting one soon. Everyone should go there, it is amazing. My mom and I went twice when we were in Virginia!!!! We were only there Friday night to early Sunday morning....I think my mom thought I was crazy. :)

I love this pizza place. It is a little random. It is called Generous George Pizza! My cousin Becky and her husband Curtis were in DC for their anniversary so we were able to meet up with them for dinner after we went to the temple. It was good to see them!

Washington DC

I am back in Utah! Dave is finishing his summer selling in Georgia so I came home to find an apartment and start school. We left Florida a week before the hurricane which I was happy about. At church one week they dedicated Sunday school and Relief Society to hurricane preparedness. I was in Chicago that week so I heard about it from my friend and we were scared!!

This past week has been pretty rough. I got a phone call from Mike the dad of the boys I nannied for 2 summers. Alex, one of the boys, took his life. It was such a hard thing for me to accept. He is such a great kid. He was always so helpful and polite. I never had any problems with him. I keep thinking if there was something I should have seen...his mom says she thinks it was not something he thought a lot about but just a rash decision that day. I will miss him very much. It is such a comfort to have the gospel though and know that he is doing well now and that we will see him again. It still makes it hard in this life but the knowledge of the after life makes it somewhat easier to bare. My mom and I went to DC for the viewing and funeral. It was quiet the adventure getting there. Dave helped me book my flight and I thought we were flying into Dulles but as we were landing I saw the Washington monument and Capital building! We landed in the Ronald Reagan airport. We could not find a rental car so we had to call my uncle Doug and he helped us. It was a crazy few hours. I was able to make it to the viewing though which I was very grateful for. It was very hard because it made everything a reality. It was hard that week but seeing Alex and Tyler, Dana, and Mike made it real and not just a dream.

The funeral was good. It was different than funerals I have been to but it was very nice. Dana asked me to sit with the family and also go with them to the cemetery. It was nice to be with them. They are such a great family. Dana and Mike are so good to their boys. They provide them with so many opportunities to learn and explore their interests. It will be very hard on them but I know that they will be okay.

I have a lot of fun memories of Tyler and Alex. They were always playing together and having fun. Every morning they would eat breakfast and read the Washington Post. They were very up to date on politics and political issues. Sometimes they would ask me questions and I had no idea what they were talking about!! It was fun to listen to their political views even though I did not always agree with them. :) Alex helped campaign for Hillary Clinton's campaign Saturday mornings. I told him if my grandma found out she would not be happy! ha ha. She is very republican!!

I was able to go to the beach with them for a week last summer. That was sooo much fun!! I taught Alex and Tyler how to crab fish on a dock behind the condo we were staying at. I learned when I went to South Carolina with my family. We had a lot of fun. There were so many crabs in that area.

We had fun at the beach as well. We buried Alex. It was so funny. The tide started coming in so we tried to make a wall around him so the water didn't get him. He didn't like that so much!

Alex and Tyler got a dog named Sandra so we would take her to the dog park. That was my first experience going to a dog park. We didn't have any pets growing up. The car ride to the dog park was always the most entertaining. Sandra did not like to sit still. The boys tried to hold her still but usually did not have too much success! :)

We ventured into DC a few time to go to the Spy Museum, Holocaust museum, and to the old post office. Alex didn't like heights or the escalators but did so well and overcoming his fears that day. I really enjoy Mike, Dana, Alex, and Tyler. I am glad that I was able to spend two of my summers with them. I missed them this summer. At the funeral Mike told me I was family. That made me feel really good. I hope we are able to stay in contact as we have the past year. I am going to try to get them to come out to Utah next summer! We will see how that goes. :)

I am getting Braver.

For those of you who know all of my weird issues know that I am afraid to stay along at night. Well, you should all be proud of me, I stayed alone a few nights this week while Dave sold in a different city. I did pretty good and survived!!! I did not like it much but all is well. I just can't wait to have Dave come home tomorrow night. Luckily Brady Quayle's fiance came in last night and will be here for a week!!

This summer I have done things I never thought I could do...
-Got scuba certified
-Stayed alone at night
-Dealt with 30 guys daily. Some of them act worse than girls!!
-Been such a couch potato

I am going to Disney World for my birthday so I will post some pics next week. I am SOOOO excited to get away and have a break from work and also spend some time with Dave. It has been awhile!

Our Apartment

Our living room

Our balcony
The Golf Course
Some of our view of the ocean; you can see a BIG ship.
Kitchen

Dining room

We live in a high rise apartment building. We live on the pent house floor which is the very top floor; floor 21. It is a very nice and big apartment. We have 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom, big living and dinning rooms, the kitchen is a good size, a nice balcony. It also has A LOT of closet space. It will probably be bigger than our apartment in Logan!:) Our view is beautiful!!!! We can see the ocean. It is fun to see the boats throughout the day, we occasionally see cruise ships. We also have an amazing golf course right outside our apartment complex. We also have 2 swimming pools at our complex. I know, I have no excuse to not be tan when I come home but I am as white as when I left. Mindy and Mckell would love it here! These pics are of my apartment and view. I will have to put a pic up of our pool. It is beautiful!!
(Our apartment is very clean right now because Dave cleaned it the other night!! I have a rough day at work with dealings with all the many boys. I was talking on the phone to Mckell and came back in and he has cleaned the kitchen. He swept, mopped, did the dishes, wiped the counters, the whole works! I then had a meeting that night and he cleaned BOTH bathrooms!! He scrubbed the showers and everything. He is so amazing! He is so good to me, I am the luckiest girl. He is always helping out and being wonderful!:) I love him.)
