North Carolina- June

I got to North Carolina the first of June.  On one of my flights I was able to fly first class!!  It was pretty cool :) Dave picked me up at the airport.  I tried to tell him we might not be able to fit 2 suit cases in the car but he thinks his car is magic.  We couldn't even fit 1 suit case in the trunk. ha ha.  Luckily we don't live far from the airport so it wasn't too bad.  The trunk was open and Dave held the other suit case on his lap and half way through my seat. :)

The view from my back deck.  It reminds me of when I nannyed in Virginia.  I will have to post apartment pics.  It is a really nice apartment and area.  We have rented furniture for the summer and it is usually pretty good, this year I REALLY like the furniture though.  It makes summers a little more homey!

Dave doesn't want to have Mango in a cage when we are gone so we made a ghetto contraption by the front entry.  He has outsmarted us twice now... I think we finally figured out how to keep him in. :)

Dave's office does a wing eating contest every year.  I sometimes wonder if this is the high light of his summer...  He ate 55 wings this year.  He has 1 other person on his team to help eat the most.  They get points for every 15 wings they eat.  His partner ate 50.    I think that is sooo sick. Needless to say, the parking area isn't pretty when the group leaves.

A bunch of the left over bones.  Sure a lot of wings!

There are quite a few wives out this year.  It has been one of my favorite summers so far.  Everyone is so nice and fun.

Monday nights are the Bachelorette nights! Such a good season!! :)

Every Wednesday we have dinner together by the pool.

During the week we meet at the pool a few times.

Every Saturday we try to go on an outing.

One Saturday we went to a pick your own fruit farm.  You could pick blackberries and blueberries.  I can't wait to pick peaches and tomatoes.  I miss the Perry fruit!!

(I hope none of the girls care I stole some of your pics!)

Last Saturday we went to Apex, NC to their Pig Fest Days.  They had a big BBQ competition.

It was so hot!  A few of went into the air conditioned restaurant for lunch!

Maddie and I got a  Henna on our foot.

This Satruday
We did a Charity day for a local Children's Hospital.  We went and put up signs, flyers, and had the kids hold sign at a Gondalfos.  15% of the proceeds they earned while we were there were donated to the charity.  It was a fun day.

Some of us wives

Brooke showing us how it is done

The kids also sold Popsicles and Kool-aid to donate to the charity.  It was soooo hot!  It was record heat and humidity.  It was 115 degrees Saturday!

All of us with the owner.

Dave and I have tried to do a few things in the mornings.

One morning we walked around the Raleigh temple grounds.

There is a state park down the road from us.  We took Mango for a walk around the lake.

This past Sunday we went to Duke University's campus and drove around.  We then walked around this BEAUTIFUL garden!  It was so nice.  They had a few pretty ponds!  It is a really neat campus.

A few random pics.

Mango has warmed up a bit to dogs.  He loved playing with Lydel this night of the gallon challenge (this is where 2 guys from each team drink as much of the gallon of milk as they can before they throw up...)

Had to add a new pic of sweet baby Sawyer

May

In May J and I hung out a lot!  He got a Jessie doll and he is now in love!

Mango graduated from puppy classes.  He can now sit, lay, stay, and leave thing.  He did good in classes with "come" but now never listens to Dave or I!

Had to throw in a pic of my cute sis and niece!

J before he ran out of McDonald's emergency exit and set the alarm off throughout the whole restaurant....

Hung out with my family on Mother's Day. My parents are planning on going on a mission in 6 months or so. I was kind of sad knowing they probably won't be here this time next year. :(

Mangs and I watched a lot of TV.  He is very into the Bachelorette this season!! (I must say this season is very good. :) )

Baby Sawyer was born.  This is Mckell's second.  He is so sweet.  I had to leave when he was a week old.  He is going to be huge when I get home!  I am so sad.

Grams and Sawyer.
 Sawyer and I

Grams, Sawyer, and I.  Grams went down with me and we went out to eat after.  I miss her!  She is my buddy.

My first apple as a teacher ha ha. :)

J and Oak

I forgot to post these cute pics in Feb.   This is J's 3rd birthday party.  I love J and Oak.  I wish I lived closer to my other niece and nephews!

Oak thought she was big and this was her bike!

J opening presents

J loves Dave.  He and Dave were having a little concert.  J thought he was VERY cool!

Oak is such a cutie.
