The view from my back deck. It reminds me of when I nannyed in Virginia. I will have to post apartment pics. It is a really nice apartment and area. We have rented furniture for the summer and it is usually pretty good, this year I REALLY like the furniture though. It makes summers a little more homey!
Dave doesn't want to have Mango in a cage when we are gone so we made a ghetto contraption by the front entry. He has outsmarted us twice now... I think we finally figured out how to keep him in. :)
Dave's office does a wing eating contest every year. I sometimes wonder if this is the high light of his summer... He ate 55 wings this year. He has 1 other person on his team to help eat the most. They get points for every 15 wings they eat. His partner ate 50. I think that is sooo sick. Needless to say, the parking area isn't pretty when the group leaves.
A bunch of the left over bones. Sure a lot of wings!
There are quite a few wives out this year. It has been one of my favorite summers so far. Everyone is so nice and fun.
Monday nights are the Bachelorette nights! Such a good season!! :)
Every Wednesday we have dinner together by the pool.
During the week we meet at the pool a few times.
Every Saturday we try to go on an outing.
One Saturday we went to a pick your own fruit farm. You could pick blackberries and blueberries. I can't wait to pick peaches and tomatoes. I miss the Perry fruit!!
(I hope none of the girls care I stole some of your pics!)
Last Saturday we went to Apex, NC to their Pig Fest Days. They had a big BBQ competition.
It was so hot! A few of went into the air conditioned restaurant for lunch!
Maddie and I got a Henna on our foot.
This Satruday
We did a Charity day for a local Children's Hospital. We went and put up signs, flyers, and had the kids hold sign at a Gondalfos. 15% of the proceeds they earned while we were there were donated to the charity. It was a fun day.
Some of us wives
Brooke showing us how it is done
All of us with the owner.
Dave and I have tried to do a few things in the mornings.
One morning we walked around the Raleigh temple grounds.
There is a state park down the road from us. We took Mango for a walk around the lake.
This past Sunday we went to Duke University's campus and drove around. We then walked around this BEAUTIFUL garden! It was so nice. They had a few pretty ponds! It is a really neat campus.
A few random pics.
Mango has warmed up a bit to dogs. He loved playing with Lydel this night of the gallon challenge (this is where 2 guys from each team drink as much of the gallon of milk as they can before they throw up...)
Had to add a new pic of sweet baby Sawyer
