New Car!

Out with the old, in with the new. I am seriously having a hard time getting red of my red little Sebastian (Dave named it Sebastian, don't ask cause I dunno why). My little red car has been so good to me. I got it right after I graduated high school and was moving to Ogden. It was my liberation from my parents! ha ha. Yes, I had a rebellious few years in high school. Sadly, many of you probably remember those wonderful years.
When Dave and I met he never liked my car much. He is very into cars and music. My car was VERY basic. It was good to me though. I kept telling him and myself that I would get a new car when I graduated and so I have been working towards this for 6 long years, ha ha. Well Dave has been looking at what car we will get when I graduate since we got married (I am not exaggerating either). Some night I would wake up and he was not in bed, he was on the computer looking at cars! Anyway, he wanted me to get a Mercedes or BMW but when I went and looked at them I was not super impressed, no I don't know my cars obviously. I wanted a car with lots of buttons, that had butt warmers, that had a remote to lock and unlock the doors, and window controls. I am not too picky! These few things I knew would make my life easier! Well as we looked at cars I really liked the Lexus IS and it actually started growing on Dave but we couldn't find the right one. One of the many days that Dave was on auto trader he found an Infiniti, I didn't know anything about these cars and wasn't sure how I felt about it. Well, Monday he talked me into going and looking at it before work. We BOTH fell in love with it right away. It is so nice! It has so many features that I have not clue how to use. It was a long process to get everything figured out with paperwork since our credit union and residency is in Utah but finally Friday we were able to pick it up!!! On the way to the dealership I had a little freak out moment. I am not good with decisions in the first place and being a 'Reeder' didn't help things. Reeder's are very thrifty and don't really spend a lot of money on vehicles. This is a big step for me. Almost all of Dave and my fights are about cars! I am trying to compromise with him and we are getting this instead of a Porsche! I am happy that I have a car that will be more reliable and hope it was a wise choice but it is bought now and I am going to enjoy it!! The pictures are out of order, I still have a hard time figuring out the blog thing but I try ha ha.

If anyone wants to buy my red car they can come fly to New York, stay a few days with us and then drive it home! ha ha. I want someone I know to buy it! :) I will be driving my car home the first of August so we can drive back together!

I am not a car expert so I will try to tell you about our car. It is an Infiniti G35X. It is all wheel drive which will be really nice in the winter. It has a navigation system, butt warmers :), remote to lock and unlock the car, dual air control (this will save us, Dave can control his side of the cars heat and air conditioning and I can control mine!), backup camera, adaptive cruise control (if you get too close to a car it will slow the car down for you and then speed you up if you switch lanes or the car in front of you moves), a 9 1/2 gig hardrive (you just save your music right on in your car so you don't have to bring your ipod), you don't need to use a key to start the car it just senses it in your pocket and you push a button, and when you are on your cell phone it comes through the speakers (I think that is so cool).

NY and apartment

So Dave and I have been in New York for almost 2 months. It has gone by so fast. We are living in New Rochelle which is right by the Bronx. We have a train station right outside of our apartment so it is so nice when we want to go into the city. It is only about 30 minutes to get to the city when we take the train. My mom wants to see some pictures of our apartment so these are for her! :) This is our living room. It is pretty clean cause Dave surprised me and cleaned the apartment yesterday! He is so good to me. I love things clean but I don't love to clean...it causes problems. This week has been a little stressful because we have been trying to buy our car since Monday and it seems like there is one thing after another that needs to be done. I just wish they give you a list at the beginning so when you get things done and excited to pick up the car your not disappointed when you have something new to do. Hopefully tomorrow morning we can FINALLY pick it up!!! I will post some pictures soon!
This is the view to the east out of our living room window. We live on the 22nd floor. Yes, I have to ride the elevator. I am doing pretty good. During the year since our elevator accident (click here for blog post)....I have had a lot of anxiety. I am still selective about elevator I take but I have come a far way. Ha Ha. You can see the Long Island Sound(that's the water). It was a little foggy the day I took this picture. It is so pretty when it is clear. On Saturday's and Sunday's the ocean is filled with sailboats. It is so pretty to see.

Our kitchen. Looks pretty similar to the one from Miami (click here for Miami pics. The apartments are similar but Miami is a lot prettier!). This year though there is an opening above the sink into the dinning/living room. I love it mainly cause when I cook dinner I can watch my shows!!!ha ha :) I need to stop watching TV so much!
This is also a view from out living room window.

This is our pool.

Time Square with the girls and work BBQ

Lexie, Maranea. Ashley, Lucky, and I went downtown to meet the guys for dinner at Dave and Busters on night. I drove down there and didn't die!! I am was excited. New York drivers are out of control!! Drivers make 2 lane road 3 lanes somehow.
Us at Time Square

Maranea, me, Eliese, Ashley, and Lucky. We would get together and watch American Idol at nights. We try to do stuff together because it gets pretty boring out here!! They are so nice to put up with me when my phone rings all night. This was Eliese's last day. She was being the OA on weekends. Now I work Monday-Saturday. Fun Fun summer. At least I am making money so I can't complain

Work BBQ. The guys earned money towards a BBQ for their memorial day incentive. Last year they got extra money on each sell....APX is getting cheaper but oh well. It turned out so yummy. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken kabobs, steak kabobs, salads, chips, and drinks!
Dave being a nerd!

Most of the techs.
This year has been soooooo nice. Last year was a nightmare. I hated every second of it but this year has been very nice. The techs are awesome. They actually want to work, crazy concept I know. I am not going crazy this year, I think Dave loves me more now :)
