South Carolina

Maddi, Brooke and her kids, Cami and her kids, and I went down to South Carolina for a few days.  It was such a great trip!

 Mango helped me pack!

 He always looks so innocent!

Maddi and I stayed with my Uncle Bobby (my grandma's brother-in-law).  Cami and Brooke stayed with Brooke's cousin on the Air Force Base.  The first evening Maddi and I went with Bobby to a Italian restaurant and then to Folly Beach.  We hung out of the pier for a bit.  I love that beach!  I have so many wonderful memories there!

The next day we met up with everyone and went on a carriage ride through downtown Charleston.  I love looking at all the beautiful homes!!

 I LOVE the porches

I am a sucker sometimes.  I bought a flower made out of leaves that some young boys were selling.

My cousin Raymond stopped by to visit and let us borrow his crabbing gear.  He is so sweet.  Wish we could have visited more!

We got up bright and early the next day and headed to Folly Beach to catch us some crabs.  Hurricane Irene last year did some damage to this part of the beach so it was a little different than the other times I have been there but we still had a lot of success.

When I was getting some of the kids ready to start and dolphin jumped out of the water 3 feet from us!  It was so neat.  I have never seen one that close.  We then saw 5 others further out.  Parker and I also saw a baby shark in the very shallow part by us.  It was a neat day!

BT getting ready to catch some crabs

 The kids waiting patiently.

There were actually a lot of crabs!  I am an dork and forgot the NET!!  One of the most important thing when crabbing!!!!  I felt so embarrased.  We caught one crab with the bucket and let the kids get pictures.  After that we just let them eat the chicken and pull them in until they ran away.  I tried to justify that it turned out okay because this way no kids could get pinched.....

Brody was really good at this.  He had 2 crabs on his a lot of the time.  He was so sad that we didn't take one home and cook it...

 I LOVE the beach!

All of us getting ready to take the LONG walk back.  It was a lot of fun!  I think the kids had a blast.  Brooke stepped on a shell and it tore through her flip flop and broke in her foot.  Cami had to dig the shells out.  I felt so bad!  I couldn't believe how brave Brooke was.  All I can say is it would have been a really bad thing if it had been me instead!

We then drove up to Myrtle Beach.  We stopped at Friendly's.  They ate dinner but Bobby and I were going to eat dinner so I just got me a treat! I LOVE Friendly's!

Bobby took me to a REALLY good and expensive steak house.  I don't know if I should say this but...I think they beat out Maddox!  After Bobby took me to The North Carolina Opry.  It was a great night.  Bobby sure spoiled me while I was there.

The next day we went to the beach.  Maddi and Brooke headed back the night before so it was just Cami and I that stayed.  Cami and I rented some chairs and an umbrella.  I was in heaven.  Of course we both bought the US magazine to get the scoop on Emily and Jef!

 Me enjoying life!

Cute Abagail.  She was loving my purple nail polish
